‘Tales from Lost Vegas’ Kickstarter launches!
The story is written! The artists are drawing! The launch at Nov. 2’s Vegas Valley Comic Book Fest has been set! Tales from Lost Vegas, the latest edition in the series of comics featuring all-Las Vegas-based talent to benefit the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District Foundation, is on its way — all that’s left is for YOU to help make it happen.
We’ve just launched a Kickstarter project to raise funds to pay for the printing of the first all-ages, full-color comic in the popular “Tales From” series, and we’re hoping you will join us in bringing this book to life by contributing or spreading the word via your favorite social networks.
Tales from Lost Vegas is an original, 40-page, full-color comic book that tells the story of three middle school friends who discover a lost complex hidden beneath the streets of Las Vegas, where they encounter robotic ants, cybernetic mob enforcers and the floating head of Howard Hughes. Written by Ed Hawkins — who wrote the main story for Tales from Fremont Street — Tales from Lost Vegas is a fun, all-ages adventure-comedy packed with witty banter, bizarre characters and genuine drama. It’s being drawn by local talents Daniel Blodgett, Jska Priebe, Justin Ayers, Ken Lamug and Steve Benton, with a painted cover by Ashleigh Popplewell.
We have only have 30 days to raise $6000, so your help is greatly appreciated. Let’s Kickstart this sucker!
